Easy Pie Crust (prep for freezer)

Homemade Simple pie crust

Recipe: makes 2 pie crust

2 1/2 c flour 1 tsp salt 1-2 tbl sugar (optional) 1 cup cold butter 6-8 tbs cold water

You can mix by hand or use stand up mixer.

Add dry ingredients into bowl and mix evenly. Slowly add butter cut into small pieces. Blend together until crumbly and start adding water.

Add salt to flour
Cut butter into pieces
Keep slowly adding butter
Wrap in plastic wrap
Place wrapped pie dough in large freezer bag and into freezer.

When you are ready to make a pie, remove one or two pie crust the night before and place in refrigerator. You may also allow to thaw for about an hour before adding pie filling. Bake pie at 350 degrees for about 40 min. Place foil over pie while baking, to prevent burning, until last 10 min. This will allow crust to finish baking. Enjoy!!
